Sacramento, CA — June 8, 2026 — This California Invasive Species Action Week 2026, California residents are being urged to act against invasive pests that threaten our state's natural resources. From the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) to invasive fruit fly species, there are several invasive pests that could devastate California's citrus.
One simple way residents can act is by staying informed.
- Stay up to date on potential plant or pest quarantines in your area.
- Don't move plant material between, into or out of quarantine areas.
- Inspect your backyard trees for signs or symptoms of pests and diseases, and report them to the CDFA Pest Hotline at 1-800-491-1899.
